INSTITUTIONS ALL OVER AMERICA MUST FACE THE PAST
As institutions reckon with pasts that include slavery and Jim Crow-era injustices, plus ongoing harm in the present, they must engage with descendants of the injured parties to establish the path of repair. However, it is up to each of us, in our association with these institutions, to insist that these repairs are carried out. As white people we must leverage our advantages to the fullest to ensure an equitable future for all.
