This Privacy Policy (the “Privacy Policy”) describes the kind of information we collect from you, how that information is used, and what kind of security measures we employ during your use of the website reparations4slavery.com (the “Site”), owned and operated by Reparations 4 Slavery (“R4S” “we,” “us,” or “our”) including, but not limited to, any information, photographs, rights to our newsletter, or links to third party websites (collectively, the “Services”). All references to “user,” “you,” and “your” in this Privacy Policy is meant to reference you, the Site visitor.
We have created this Privacy Policy to inform you about the information the Site collects, how we use that information, and with whom we may share it, if at all. This Privacy Policy does not address the privacy practices of any third parties that we do not own, control, or are affiliated with. Capitalized terms not defined in this Privacy Policy will have the meaning stated in our Terms and Conditions (“Terms”).

REPARATIONS 4 SLAVERY RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CHANGE THE USER AGREEMENT AT ANY TIME. YOUR CONTINUED USE OF THIS SITE CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE OF ANY CHANGES MADE TO THE USER AGREEMENT.
- INFORMATION WE COLLECT OR RECEIVE. In the course of operating the Site, we may collect and/or receive the following types of information. You authorize us to collect and/or receive such information.
- Personal Information. This Personal Information includes your name and email. We do not collect any Personal Information from you when you use the Site unless you provide us with the Personal Information voluntarily when you sign up for the R4S newsletter.
- Other Information. In addition to the Personal Information and we may automatically collect or receive additional information regarding you and your use of the Site; your interactions with us and our advertising; and information regarding your computer and mobile devices used to access the Site (collectively, the “Other Information”). Such Other Information may include:
- From You. Additional information about yourself that you voluntarily provide to us.

- IP address, which may consist of a static or dynamic IP address and will sometimes point to a specific identifiable computer or mobile device;

- Right to Correct. Consumers may request that a business correct inaccurate Personal Information.
- Right to Delete. Consumers may request that a business delete any Personal Information that it has about the consumer. R4S may deny a request to delete to comply with other legal obligations, including a court order to turn over such information.
- Right of Portability. Consumers, upon request, may obtain their Personal Information by mail or electronically without charge. R4S will process such requests in a timely manner and deliver requested information in a readily usable format to you.
- Right to Opt-Out. Consumers may restrict a business from selling or sharing their Personal Information. While R4S does not sell any consumer information, you may exercise your right to opt-out of sharing your Personal Information through one of the methods outlined in the following section titled “ACCESSING AND MODIFYING INFORMATION”.
- Right to Limit Use and Disclosure. Consumers may direct a business that collects sensitive Personal Information to limit its use of such information when necessary to perform the services reasonably expected by consumer of the business.
- Right of No Discrimination or Retaliation. If you exercise any of the rights explained above, you will not be discriminated or retaliated against based on their exercise of these consumer rights.

We cannot guarantee the security of our databases or the databases of the third parties with which we may share such information, nor can we guarantee that the Information you supply will not be intercepted while being transmitted over the Internet. In particular, emails sent to us may not be secure, and you should therefore take special care in deciding what information you send to us via email.
- HOW WE RETAIN YOUR INFORMATION. We will keep your information while we are providing the Services to you. Thereafter, we will keep your information for as long as is necessary to:
- Respond to any questions, complaints or claims made by you or on your behalf.
- Show that we treated you fairly.
- Keep records required by law.
We will not retain any of your information for longer than necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. When it is no longer necessary to retain your information, we will delete or anonymize it in accordance with Mailchimp, our newsletter service provider. - IMPORTANT NOTICES TO NON-U.S. RESIDENTS. The Site and its servers are operated in the United States. If you are located outside of the United States, please be aware that your information, including your Personal Information, may be transferred to, processed, maintained, and used on computers, servers, and systems located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction where the privacy laws may not be as protective as those in your jurisdiction. As such, we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of those third-party websites. - CHILDREN. The Site is not directed at children under the age of 13. We adhere to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and will not knowingly collect Personal Information from any child under the age of 13. We ask that minors (under the age of 13) not use the Site. If a child under the age of 13 has provided us with Personal Information, a parent or guardian of that child may contact us and request that such information be deleted from our records.
